Alas, it is due to the competitiveness of Singapore that I and my family have to leave lovely, anarchistic Hong Kong. The numbers just don't weigh up for corporations needing to make a profit.

It is a pity. I really love this place. Warts and all. I love it more though when I spend little time reading the newspaper about all the inequity created by people with both privilege and an sense of entitlement that shadows any good that could happen.

In all walks, from academic to financial to government there is a terrible "know better" attitude, which is only on occasion surpassed by the "yes, sir, yes sir, three bags full sir" obsequence to Beijing.

Shame on you HK, your report card from me is, "could do better"

The sky is always blue in Hong Kong in June and July, always has been, and it has nothing to do with factory activity in China.
